Privacy notice

Discount Doctor is a read-only Shopify app operated by an independent developer. It checks the configuration of a discount selected by a merchant and does not create carts or orders, impersonate customers, or save scan reports.

Information processed

• Shopify authentication session information, including the shop domain, approved scopes, access credentials, expiry information, and authenticated-account fields Shopify supplies to keep the embedded app signed in.
• Whether Shopify reports an active trial or app subscription. Discount Doctor does not store a copy of the subscription response.
• Limited request and error metadata produced by the production host for security and reliability, which can include timestamps, request paths, IP addresses, and technical error details.
• Mandatory privacy-webhook payloads are authenticated in memory. Customer payloads are not retained. A shop-redaction request removes any remaining authentication sessions for that shop.

The selected discount and its configured product scope are requested directly from Shopify by the admin extension and rendered in the merchant's Shopify Admin. Discount Doctor does not send that report to its application server or save it.

How information is used and shared

Session information is used only to authenticate the app, enforce Shopify-hosted billing, respond to required privacy requests, secure requests, and diagnose operational failures. Information is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with unrelated data brokers. It is processed by Shopify and by the production hosting and database providers needed to operate the app.

Retention and deletion

Authentication sessions are deleted when Shopify notifies Discount Doctor that the app was uninstalled and again on a shop-redaction request. Operational logs are kept only for the limited period configured with the production host. Discount Doctor does not retain discount reports, customer records, orders, addresses, or checkout activity.

Your choices and questions

Merchants can uninstall the app from Shopify Admin. For an access, correction, deletion, restriction, or privacy question, use the Get support link for Discount Doctor in Shopify Admin or the contact method on the support page. Production hosting location, subprocessors, operator contact details, and any jurisdiction-specific notices will be confirmed here before public publication.
